Switching to AT&T... what should I expect from bills

Ok so heres the deal. I am with Verizon right now and have the Q. The phone is out of warranty and about to die. I have to restart it 3 or 4 times a day or I wont get my email or phone calls. I have also been getting tired of the equipment that Verizon carries. So I thought I would just switch over to ATT and pick up a iPhone.

Now here is what im really looking for. Can someone give me some quotes on what their monthly bills (taxes and all) have been from ATT for the 450 and 900 plans.

Then when my wifes contract is over with Verizon I am going to move her over. So I would like to know what people are paying for the 700 and 1400 min family plan with one extra phone.

Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.

taxes are pretty universal depending on location. So someone in Cali can not tell someone in GA what taxes are. However you can look on your current bill with verizon and see. They are govt taxes not carrier taxes. So go to the website look at what you want for plan and features then add your current taxes and bam.

hhmmm...about that. I thought that would be true but had a customer return two phones yesterday because the bill was projected to be about $10 higher then their current carrier. It was the same plan.
They had Qwest, we are att

I was thinking about doing the same thing. I upgraded 2 out of my 3 lines last November. Thankfully I only signed a 1 year contract. So far I have had to swap out my upgrade 4 times due to technical issues. Verizon has not been too pleasant with their customer service lately over the phone and also in the store with me. The lineup of phones Verizon has is the worst in the 5 years I have had service with them. The only thing that has kept me from switching is that the people I call and text the most all have Verizon. If not for that I would have switched in November.

... what the hell are you looking for in a phone that makes VZW's lineup the worst in 5 years? Nothing carried in the last 5 years comes close to most of the phones in the lineup right now...

Well, I used to have the LG 8300, I upgraded to the 8350 which almost seems like a downgrade in terms of the cheap plastic. Let alone I have had to swap the 8350 out 4 times now. It seems all Verizon continues to come out with lately is the same model phone... different colors. The only other phone that is comparable to my 8350 in terms of price and features is the Samsung Gleam. And that feels like it is made of cheap plastic. I don't want to start this thread into a Verizon phone selection disagreement. I was just stating that I was upset due to the fact that Verizon's customer service has not been good to me during the last few months since I have had problems with the 8350.

My usual advice to new customers is add $10-15 for taxes and fees on an individual account and $15-20 for a family plan.

Also, the iPhone "requires" a data package that starts at $20.
