question about mMode
i have a v400 and i was messing around with my managers v551 and it had mMode all over it . what is mMode lol.. i know its obviously internet but its just wierd they made suck a switch from my v400 can anyone explain >?

What is Mmode? Mmode was AT&T's branded internet (wap) service. Very similar to T-Mobile's T-Zones. I know cingular has something, but if it has a name or not I don't know. Basically Mmode was a whole big grouping of some of the bigger wap sites put together for you on one deck. They mixed some of their company specifics in with it too like communities, downloadables, and alerts. Mmode also had something that was pretty neat I've never seen before, one of their old managers showed me once...it wasn't exactly a gps locator, but you could send a message to someone and if they accepted it, it would come back and tell you where they were..like street/intersection etc...
