Simple Question
regarding PICTURE MESSAGING, does AT&T include it totally free? Do they not charge for the MMS message but charge for the data? Is it not included at all? .... what's the deal! ha ha I have heard mixed things from managers at various stores and customer care. Could someone PLEASE clarify once and for all.
*I'm sure I could pull up some bills being a rep and figure it out for myself but asking it on here just appealed to me more = ]
Thanks guys!!
IF you don't send more than 20 MMS messages a month, its worth the pay as you go. I don't have MMS but I do have $15 unlimited internet,,,,,,for another $5 I could get 200 MMS but I don't send even 5 a month.
If this helps you to answer the handset I use is an unlocked Nokia N95-3, and I live in Las Vegas, Nv.
MMS is charged Pay Per Use $.25/each, you are also charged for the data transfer. Any messaging package includes MMS as a message, if you have a package the internet charges are absorbed.
MMS does not have a media/internet charge. We only charge for the msg. You must have at least the pay per use media on your number but no charge for its use.
If a customer does have media/internet charge as a result of MMs they need to contact customer care and have a trouble ticket started.

you are incorrect. you are not charged for the data transfer... that is included with the mms charge.
from at&t:
...As always customers can still send Messages on a pay-per-use basis if they choose not to add a MEdia Bundle or Messaging Package to their account.
Data used to transmit MMS and video messages is included in the charge. Users are not incurring separate data charges in addition to the messaging charges.

Then there are some billing errors flying around. Just yesterday I saw a bill with six MMS charges and six Media Net charges of identical time and date.
if you saw it then you probably work for at&t. if you do work for at&t you should know that it shouldn't charge that way. you should have then set the correct features on the account or called customer care for them to fix it.
