Deleting the Locked Software from Cingular
On all the newer V series phones, Cingular chose to add a sh*tload of images,tones,vids that are all LOCKED. How the hell do I get these off my phone, so I can at least have a little bit more memory.

Unless you have the phone unlocked you can't, but if you get it unlocked you can delete, any and all images and tones you wish to

I thought they came factory unlocked, hence the "world phone" capabilities. f not, how do I unlock it to delete this stuff?

I thought that unlo
cking your phone was only for using other companies sim cards he is asking how he can unlock the ringtones and pics in the phone(they have a pad lock symbol next to them) I dont think unlocking the phone will help that

There are 2 unlock codes, 1 is to use the phone with different carriers, there is a 2nd unlock code, to delete all the factory software in the phone, or add to it, since they when they lock it only only you have what they want you to have or not have
