Rumors about touch screen BB Curve
We have been told today that a new version of the Curve will be introduced within the next 3 months. Has anyone heard about this? I would love a good touch screen phone thats not an iPhone or Tilt.

it will be 9xxx series. it will not be touch screen. also, they may put it off becasue rim want's to keep things the way people like blackberries.

are you sure? the email we got says it is a Curve not the 9xxx series. an 83-something, i think it's 50 or 70. you can use either the pearl or the touch to navigate

well. i thought i was and then i checked and i can't find anything about a new curve but our equipment update leaves out the blackberry field so there might be something up.

Our owner said it is going to compete with the iPhone. Pinstack.com doesn't have anything other than speculation on the 9xxx series but during some BB training last year the rep said they were looking into a touch screen version. who knows.

I like my Blackberry curve just the way it is. No touch-screens for me. I used iphone and will never switch from BB again. Made the mistake of switching in the first place.

Update: Touch screen BB is at testing stage by RIM. ATT does have first crack at release though. ATT is looking at 9xxx series launch in June/July with extreamly competitive price point with NEW(?!) data plans. ATT is the only carrier at this stage.

keep the bb updates coming. i hope they don't change to much from the curve, but bb in 3g makes me smile :-)

The 9xxx series will be a suretype model and a full QWERTY model. 3G with WiFi and GPS. Not to much on the touch screen BB other then it's in development and it is going to go head to head with the iPhone. The info is from BB itself, I'm just passing it on. I hope it's true and a new model is coming out soon. The 8130 Pearl is on its way. Late March to April release. 2.0MP camera, new keyboard, and GPS.
