I'm so tired of old AT&T customers still coming in complaining that they can't get a phone at a discounted rate with their Old AT&T Blue Plan. Even after explaining fifty times, they persist. Then the inevitable question comes up... "Well, what incentives will you offer me to switch to the New AT&T?" Of course our standard incentives aren't good enough. They think they deserve something special for sucking dry some old rate plan that gives them the world for pennies. "I've been a customer of AT&T for years." Well, we aren't that company.

I typed up a little one page paper called "The History of the new AT&T" to give to the really annoying people that explains how their company was bought out. I'm a fun guy.

We had something like that, but it generally got blank stare, and the persistence of the "Incentives" question. I wanted to tell them the incentive is that they get the act/upgrade fee waived and we aren't Sprint or T-mobile. Apparently that's not good enough. Next time, I'm just going to "Accidentally" upgrade their account. Woops.
