MediaNet Unlimited

I was online and saw that my current features include -

MediaNetUnlimited at 19.99 and I have the option for Media Net Unlimited at 15.00.

Are these the same thing? Do I need to manually make the change to get the discount?

Thanks
Mark

Yes you do. Just change it online or go to a store to get the price.

Ok - so it is the same correct? Just wanted t ensure I didn't mess anything up by changing.

I'll offset the difference anyway by adding more to my messaging pack 🙂

Crack - I'd be interested to get your take on this.

So with all the drops in feature price - I still see my feature quotas stay the same. Have feature quotas changed on the COR end?

I understand the justification of "Well if they cost less you should sell more" - I'm still yet sell myself on that one. I still think the people that are attracted to features will buy them because they like them - $5 difference or not.

What do you think?

feature quota went up to $22.00 per op in cor. the main reason i heard for the media net change was to help end the confusion of media max bundles. they priced it at even .00 instead of .99 to match competition. also, they wanted a way to red...

Yeah - I always get annoyed when someone comes in with a blackjack and media max 200 on their account...

The other day I had someone with an imei of 111111111111111 and now I know why... so they could sneak media net unlimited on to their account without notice.

yes. but with any 3G device you want a pda connect plan instead of media net so you get the isp access...

This may be a dumb question... but then how do you get that on a v3xx using opera mini if you only have media net unl?

with media net you get 3G and all, but you get proxied in. basically they have complete control over your speed. with any 3G device you get the fast speeds, but HOW it gets to you. with our technology voice preempts data, but excluding voice needing network more than data, the data gets to you one of three ways, csd(circuit switched or dial up), proxy (they deliver it on thier terms) or isp (unregulated delivery of content.) opera mini is on media net plan is cached and proxied to the max. you have at&t recieving the info to your phone through their proxy (think of it as a gateway) and opera caching the heck out of stuff and then pushing it to your device.

sorry, i think what you were asking specifically about the seperation of features and i read it wrong. what i was saying in the post to the other guy was the idea was that if a customer ends up not wanting messages or internet they can cancel...

You are reading the name incorrectly. The old feature was called MEdia Max 200 and included 200 messages. The new feature is called MEdia Net Unlimited and includes unlimited data only. Here is the section to which you refer:
Media Bundles
MEdia Max Unlimited $35.00 Select Feature
MEDIA MAX 200 BUNDLE $19.99 Current Feature
None N/A Select to Remove

The check mark is beside the feature called "Current Feature."

There was an old MNUN feature for $19.99. It was in the system for things like when someone needed unlimited MEdia Net on one line and has unlimited FamilyTalk messages on the group.

I remember now. That was a ripoff. You paid the same as MEdia Max and got no texting. Everyone in that situation should change to the MEdia Net Unlimited and save $4.99.
