I just bought the new sim card and popped it in my phone is there a way to see if its workin? I know this may sound like a silly question but i guess i was expecting dramatic changes in my reception but i still have dead spots at the same places as i did b4. I there a way to notice a change in reception? Or was i expectin too much outta this lil sim card

What kind of phone do you have and when did you get it? The benefits of the 64K SIM can only be gained with an ENS capable handset...

That phone is ENS capable... You may want to call WAX and have them send you a warranty exchange. Sounds like the phone is malfunctioning. ENS with a 64K SIM takes the wait out of searching for a better signal. Give them a buzz.

P.S. Where are you? That may have something to do with it.

Yes any new phone that is offered will be ENS capable. Until it is released, have them exchange your phone...Sounds like your Moto is being a meanie!

You can get your phone exchanged for the same phone by calling 1-800-801-1101. I assume that the phone is on your account and that it has not suffered severe physical damage.

don't waste your time on the V600. The v551 is a better phone.

haha you're telling me... this is like my 4th v600 since i started service with cingular in april 2004. i HATE it!! it always freezes on me and the phone is just slow... i have all the keystrokes memorized and i have to actually wait for the thing to catch up... its kinda funny actually but annoying at the same time. i cant wait for the v635 so i can get rid of this POS... but that still doesnt answer my question lol 😛

You're not supposed to get any better service with the 64k sim card, the only upgrade is that the 64k has larger storage than the 32k sim card. This is a myth generated by customer service people that do not know what they are talking about. People come into my store all the time with stories that customer service has told them about getting better signal, etc. it's all b.s. the only thing that I can tell that's different is with the ens capable phones, service is not better, it just registers service faster...

And that is not better to you? I am here in the Nation's Capital (DC in case you were wondering) and the ENS with a 64K SIM is great for me and my customers. What market are you ...

I understand that and the 64k sim and the ens phones are great, but i'm in NC and when customers call in complaining about not having service, customer service -in market 35 at least- tells the customer to go to a store and pick up a 64k sim card and they will get service on their phones. I might add that these are customers in the southwestern part of virginia where there's no coverage except for interstates. It's beginning to get annoying to the people like me that are in the stores. I don't mean anything by it, but 64k sims don't improve service where there is no service...that's my point.
