Sprint Offers 'Unlimited Everything' for $99
Today, 6:17 AM by Eric M. Zeman

Today Sprint unveiled its own version of the $99 unlimited plan. Unlike the plans announced last week by other wireless carriers, Sprint's plan includes unlimited voice, data, SMS messages, email, Web, Sprint TV, Sprint Music, GPS navigation, DirectConnect and Group Connect. The plan is called Simply Everything, and is available to both CDMA and iDEN customers. Customers will be able to switch to the new plan without extending their current contracts. Sprint will also offer an unlimited everything plan for family lines as well for an incremental $5 discount for each additional line. Interested customers can contact customer service or their closest participa...

If I am not mistaken, at Sprint customers may pay an additional $5 to have the option to roam without paying additional roaming fees. This allows those customers to roam off Alltel and Verizon and other CDMA carriers where Sprint has no coverage. Some users have even figured out how to hack the PRL in the phones to force the phones to roam of Verizon even where Sprint is available. There was the funniest incident where a guy who worked for Sprint was saying why pay for Verizon's service when you can get it at Sprint's lower price. Classic...

no we chose to cut ties with those customers because they were never happy and complained about everything under the sun. They were costing sprint more money than they were worth. It had nothing to do with customer service issues.

I agree with Talia. This is a great plan! The best thing that could happen would be for Cingular and Verizon to match it. Then the consumer wins in the end! Unlimited BIS/text/voice for $99.99? You can't beat that! If I didn't get a 50% discount with VZW, I would switch! Heck, I want to anyway, but I can't justify it. I can get the Employee unlimited premium for $75 I think. Still, kudos to sprint for at least getting up off the mat and fighting back against the other carriers for a change. Their answer in the past was always "Wait until we get EV-DV. Wait until we get Wi-Max. Heck! You have to keep your existing base to fund those high dollar network upgrades. It looks as though finally someone up there in Reston gets it.

Sprint has the absolute worst and most incompetent customer service of any carrier I have ever tried and that includes amp'd. I truly believe this is one of the major factors causing their EXTREME customer losses. I dont think they made a wise decision with this simply everything plan, they should have priced it at $89 or even $79 if they wanted customers to leave Verizon or AT&T which both have 1000% better customer service as well as coverage... I think if Sprint continues they this they will be sold or bought out. I mean who can afford to lose more in 1 quarter than the entire company is worth? My advice to everyone stay the hell away from sprint, they suck!!!!!!!!!

I don't go to other countries. Not a single one, I don't give a rats about International Roaming. What I care about is places I go to, and when I can't use a Sprint phone at home, Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Denver, Seattle, or underneath a Sprint tower, unlimited everything doesn't do anything for me. Those right there are where I use my service, and Sprint can't hold up on any of them. I've tried. I wanted to use it because of how cheap it was. But why pay anything if you can't use it. And God forbid you have to call into Sprint customer service to ask a question or even worse cancel.

I'm a user as much as a rep, I don't care about who has what where or who has more subscribers or roaming agreements, it com...

-AT&T has the largest GSM network
-Sprint has the largest all digital network based on population areas
-Verizon has the largest voice network based on most cities covered
-Alltel has the largest network based on sq miles (rural areas)

All companies have their good points, coverage isn't the issue it used to be. So there's really no need for this.

Sprint's network in the Phoenix/East Valley works very well. I am not sure why Chocolate thinks they do not. I have At&t and also had Sprint a few months back. They have been in Arizona alot longer than Cingie/At&t. They worked great & if they revamp their customer service they will be bearable to have as a carrier.
