w580 keys cracking....What Steps are You All Taking for the Customer?

Just wondering.

About a month ago, I helped a customer called the warrenty exchange, and they said the keys cracking was not covered.

It got really heated between them and I about that, because I figured it was a defective product issue.

What is everyone else telling their customers?

The ones I'm running into are the Pink w580's..

Thank you in Advance,

We are having the same issues with all colors with any customer who texts a lot.

Well we are having the same issues. Call back and get someone else. They do cover them, and at&t is aware. That person probably did not know...like half of them.

Every customer (which is several) has been told they either need to go through insurance or if they don't have it oh well. Are you sure they are covering them?? 😕

I, as a warranty rep, was told that if there's no physical/liquid damage to the phone, that it's covered. The keys cracking are a known issue.

As long as that's the only physical issue, yes.

If we call in to warranty exchange is there anything we can do other than hanging up and calling back to get this done?

If the warranty rep is dense/difficult, you can always escalate to a supervisor.
