Caped like verizon! 😢

There is only ONE wireless carrier with true unlimited unrestricted data, Sprint!

There is a 5GB SOFT LIMIT. Not a cap. It is used to prevent people from using our network for large file transfer (a la Bittorrent). They are not going to bust you if you are going to regular websites and using it normally you will be fine.

Verizon charges $15 a month for tethering- I asked my AT&T store to sign me up for when I travel, and they said AT&T charges $70 a month-is he correct?

Also, BAT&T Blackberries are 2G phones- that would make tethering very slow- or am I wrong?

Blackberry international packages are $70 a month. That's not tethering though. Domestic tethering is $60 a month, and I'm not really sure if they provide international tethering on a BB.

tethering would be much slower using a phone that has EDGE (at&t blackberry) versus a phone using EV-DO (Verizon, Sprint or Alltell Blackberry). at&t does offer other pda's with faster internet.... just not a high-speed bb yet.

Try it and see. IMO a Blackberry and a UMTS phone are neck and neck on speeds in a UMTS area. And then since I'm in EDGE it's a no brainer for me.
