Varies by location and phone.

Personally, I've only ever dropped two calls and that was county fair week, tower wasn't made for that much.

There are no coverage areas, check the coverage viewer at www.att.com for your area. Buildings I have no trouble with.

The sound of the caller will depend on the phone, not the network itself. The only thing you may notice around computers is called the GSM buzz, it's just the noise made when GSM phones are transferring data. Again, depends on the phone and area.

Give it a chance and try it, if you don't like it don't keep it. I've challenged many doubtful customers with this and most in my area are happy they did.

Unlike CDMA, I advise most customers to turn their phones twice a week. If you live in a older home and can't get GSM service see if you still have the old LEAD water pipes in your walls. That will block service just like any other radio signals. I never drop service (I'm in Central PA) and I actually get service in places the other 3 don't. The voice quality is fine and I don't normally notice a difference unless I'm dealing with someone from San Diego (sounds really loud regardless of carrier). If GSM was really that bad then I wonder why the rest of the world uses it
