Looking for a new phone. I've researched the specs on this site. How com most SE phones have long battery life, but the rest of the brands seem much shorter. Does SE do something different or do they inflate the battery life numbers. Am leaning towards SE for that fact. Thanks in advance.

In my past dealings with SE I must say their battery life is very strong. Now I am talking the W810i which I got unlocked before Cingular picked it up. But from what I have seen with those around me with an SE device they are very pleased with the battery life and not having to charge it for what seems days instead of every other night or even every night in the case of some devices.

Which SE were you looking at? If you are able to part with the cash I would suggest the K850 which just came out. You will have to get it unlocked (about 450$) but I think it would be worth the cash. If it weren't for me wanting a "smartphone" I would have picked that up but instead I got the Nokia N95-3.
