3G iPhone expectations

Do you guys think that the new iPhone will be different? I mean it in a smaller, thinner, FLIPπ² phone kind of way.
Not a chance. Buy a Nokia N95. It's the "grown up's "iPhone. π

What's not "grown up" about an iPhone? And what's "mature" about the N95? The weak GPS signal, the cheap build, or maybe the lack of a qwerty keyboard? You are right. Nothing makes you feel more "grown up" than trying to respond to an important business email using the same T9 texting that your teenage daughter uses on her free Razor. π
lol razor doesn't have T9 LoL
iTAP maybe

He has no clue how much more of a phone the Nokia is. HE assumes one HAS to use text. If its an important business communication I wuld make the call. Not depend on wirelss email.
AS for the GPS signal I would not call and imbedded GPS chip AND A -GPS weak. I would not cal...

of marketing hype are Verizon users. They are willing to give up so much and have their pockets picked so they don't EVER drop a call.
I don't know about you but I would and do gladly give up some "reliable" reception for the benefits a phone like the Nokia allows every day of the week. Redial is not such a bad thing.
calls now and then and HiFi calls.

I think you are judging people using verizon wrong. I'm pretty sure there're people out there who hate verizon and their ways, and would love to switch to AT&T; or any other carrier (btw, this can be applied to any carrier) But what good does it do to switch? When most of the people you know are on the same network you want to leave? Sometimes, people choose their carrier based on their ability to save some money using M2M.
You are right. However the new calling plans featuring unlimited calling will allow those particular users to go wherever they want to without regard to M2M.
I really believe the ONLY thing Verizon has over ATT is never dropping a call and HiFi voice quality. One giv...

here's your sign
But as someone mentioned before, the transition costs between carriers are expensive/time consuming (and when I mean expensive/time consuming ... people don't want to buy a new device, wait in line or wait in general to get their number ported, take time to get a phonebook transfer, fill out a form, run a credit check, etc.). If it's fine to the average customer, why bother to switch?

You call that mess on an iphone QWERTY? LOL
I can respond just as effectively using T9 or iTAP as mssing arong with tiny keys or worse a touch screen I need both hands to operate.
My daughter uses an N82 I bought for here. She has no interst in an iphone or free RAZR.....can't say I blame her. NOthing is free. She is old enough to know that. Sound...

Definitely not. The 3G iPhone will more than likely look just like the one out now except with maybe a different looking camera if they decided to update that and add video. Otherwise, the only difference should be the addition of WCDMA/HSDPA and possibly HSUPA. Who knows, maybe they'll throw in GPS this time too.
Maybe they will throw in Stereo BT headset capability. A huge omission for a premiere music player manufacturer. How about SMS.
