Cingular extend alpha tag means absolutely nothing in a lot of cases. I look at the coverage on that exact street for Cingular and it looks good. Its probably just the building you are in blocking the signal, this could easily happen depending on the building. Cingular is actually going through the process of making those alpha tags a thing of the past, soon your phone will always say cingular, no matter where you are. They are doing that because of the confusion it causes customers when they see that. I leave in NC and at one point i couldnt get a signal at home, some say it doesnt make a big difference but I believe otherwise. I switched from a LG 4050 to a sony ericsson t637, now I have a signal in my house, always. Try switching p...

The maps I look at are password protected, sorry. Your house is in a coverage area that can be a problem in doors. Call Cingular, maybe its your phone. We had a bad batch of 64k sims come into NC, maybe thats the problem. Cingular sent us the wrong ones.

Its impossible to really know. There might not be anything you can do or another phone might do it. Try going down to your local Cingular store and see if they can help. Let them know the situation, how you used to have a signal and now you dont. Maybe they can help.

You are amazing... I thought I was the only one working for the company that took that much pride in their job... You and I are far and in between in this company (from my experience).
