I had a rep in my store today tell another rep that we can't give cash refunds in store if it is over 30 dollars. I have NEVER heard such bs in my life and I was quick to jump on it, but the rep just ignored me and pretended I was just going crazy even though I am always right with everything.

I even checked the standard op procedures on CSP and there was nothing on there about that.

Has anyone EVER heard anything like this? Please, I know about procedures with checks and the like, and waiting 10 days and shorting the deposit when you refund something more than what you have in your drawer, but has anyone else heard this?

Your COR right? No clue for them. As an agent our personal policy is an exchange or we will have a check mailed to you. We don't do cash refunds. We don't even keep cash in the store, deposit daily.

Ash you are 100% right. never heard of anything like that before. I know we can't do cash exchanges if we haven't taken in that amount of cash. yea that rep is full of it!

my thoughts on this are ... a) u have a lazy ass rep and i have some of the same in my last store. b)u can give a cash refund anyday but after 30 days u shouldn't be giving any refund to the customer unless its for a vaild reason ...

If the rep had only taken in $30.. ok, understandable.. but find another station and don't fabricate a new policy. If its the beginning of the day and we haven't taken any cash in yet, we typically counteract the refund amount with a bill payment so they essentially end up with a credit on their bill for the return.
