The retail price can be high to push people into the 2 year and get the services.

Pricing is up on eStore: http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-servic e/cell-phone-details/?device=LG+VU(TM)&q_sku= sku2490219

549.99 Retail

I know that is a little ridiculous... it's the same price as the TILT. But it does have some advantages over the iPhone:

Mobile TV
Java App support
3G
Video Share
Autofocus camera
Expandable/removable/hotswappable memory
MMS
Custom ringtones
A2DP Bluetooth
Voice Dial

That's a pretty healthy list of advantages. Granted - it can't measure up to the multi-touch on the iPhone...

I think $499.99 might have been reasonable, that 50 bucks extra really does make me think twice.
