Also keep in mind that to have the push email capability on the new iPhone, you have to pay an extra $99 per month, whereas the functionality is already included in the BlackBerry plans.

I think you mean $99 per year for the Mobile Me software.
Yes the Bold is better overall, but iPhone OS and touchscreen are fun. Not to mention having 3G data for that sick browser and GPS for the always stellar google maps.
