Former Dobson store to carry iPhone 3G!
I've been informed by my local AT&T store (used to be Dobson) that they will be carrying the iPhone 3G. This is great news for people like me that live in more rural areas and won't have to drive an hour to go to the next closest AT&T store. I've also found out my store is a corporate store, which is kinda odd!

Uhh. I don't work in the cell phone industry. I'm just a regular person interested in the cellular world.
All I did was called the store up town and found out this info. And I didn't think that AT&T would make a former Dobson store a corporate store. It just suprised me. And the fact that we're getting the iPhone 3G is just shocking because our town is so small.

If the store was a former Dobson corporate it would pretty much become an AT&T corporate. If it doesn't do well enough they might eventually close it or off it to a nearby agent. Where are you located?

I'm from Caro, MI. If we were a corporate store before, than that would mean that the store in Bad Axe, MI was corporate and would now be but they are not.
We are a relatively small town (4,200 people) and we have that main store and then an AT&T Authorized Retailer on the other side of town, as well as a Wal-Mart that sells AT&T.

Well I know that there is a former Dobson store that was turned into an AT&T store there, as well as TotalCom, and Wal-Mart. However, Caro is the only store in our area selling the iPhone 3G when it comes out. Bad Axe is not. Therefore, I do not believe they are corporate.

Yeah, the Caro store must be the corporate AT&T store now. Because when you go to AT&T's website to view where the iPhone 3G will be sold, Caro is the only town in the entire Thumb carrying it.
