Mass market enough to bump ATT to over 71m customers, mass market enough to steal some customers away from the dark side. . .

Yeah. I was really impressed with the Blackberry Curve that came out a who year later than with AT&T and has crippled GPS chip. Also impressive are their umpteenth incarnations of the the Razor, the Chocolate... ๐Ÿ™„

Oh, and all those impressive devices are still running that incredible VZW customer interface that basically rips the devices of all functionality.

I am most impressed by their crippling of their devices that continue to disallow basic functions like BT picture and music to your PC without having to pay VCrap for the privilege. And not to mention ...

Line up with the sheep then? ๐Ÿคฃ

Gimme that crippled phone because hey, "It's the Network" and I shouldn't expect anything out of my locked down crippled"featurephone" because hey, "It's the Network" and 67 million people don't care so why should I?

When's the last time you tried it? Mine sounds as good as Verizon everywhere I go. Especially if you have 3G coverage. YMMV thought depending on your location.

I tried recently in Seattle (9802๐Ÿ˜Ž I'm right next to an ATT call center, but the service is just so so compared to Verizon. My friends have it and hate it too. Shrug. I can't believe after all these years that they have only marginally improved their network.

That sucks. I think the call quality may be marginally better but not enough to care. It's like CD vs. MP3. Maybe you can tell the difference but it's not enough to get me to use their crappy handsets. You gotta go with what works in your area though. If I couldn't make calls then no device, no matter how sweet it is, matters.

Yup I agree just get what works for you. I used to have Nextel, but sprint screwed them up and the service went to hell. I live and work on a farm so att doesn't work for me, I have been using the mill spec casio series for a few years now which I enjoy a lot!

I read the article this morning , and I have to admit, VZW's CEO has gone mad. Mad I tell you....MAD! He wants VZW to own 100% of it's company, and next, he wants the entire U.S. and world to be hooked up to VZW's LTE network. Seriously doubt Voda will sell to VZW. I don't think that would be a smart buisness move by Voda.

Sorry for side-tracking.

VZW's CEO praises Apple, then doesn't give the iPhone 3G any credibility, and pretty much says Jobs will be washed up soon. WOW!
I wonder if he still kicking himself for not selecting the iPhone. I'm sure he's crying all the way to the bank though. ๐Ÿคฃ
