Media Works Package on Cingular

Man is it true that they are going to change the media works package and make it more expensive, if so can anybody tell me what the exact changes will be, how much it will cost, and when this change will happen and also why. cause i'm a little mad that cingular would do this, this is some reasons i left verizon because they where making bad decisions like this. Also i heard what i can do to avoid the change but i'm wondering, if my mom got it put onto her plan and when i get my phone can't i jus add a extra line to her plan? and till get the media works package

I've heard the PPU internet is going up to 3cents/kb when we launch the NCAA stuff, but nothing else.

I can never find anything on CSP unless it's in the required reading on the first page. That site is the most muddled POS for navigation and uninformative information site ever.... the 3cents per kb thing was related via email from out area account exec last Thursday while reminding us to sell Media Works with MobiTV because of the high data usage. When we release the NCAA stuff PPU goes up to 3cents, making 5 minutes of tv about 1mb of downloads and costing the user $30. So for those of you planning on getting or using MobiTV... get Media Works.

THIS has NO proof to it. You currently get unlimited media net on the works package, & up to 1MB on the basic. That isn't about to change. You have to remember how new that this service still is to Cingular & Cingular end users. Cingular is beginning to build a great rep. why would they damage it now. Cingular just claimed the MOST added new customers for the 4th quarter of 2004. This makes the statement that cingular is moving upward, and believe me, they would not jeopardize the reputation, or the records that are setting for customer satisfaction for a few bucks on media net.

I know you mentioned the 24.99 unlimited with no text and mms..and the 19.99 and what it has, but are there any others to choose from?

People with Cingular now that already have the Media Works (like me) won't lose it, and I guess they are thinking new customers will have never had it, so they don't know what they COULD have had if they were already a Cingular customer..in other words new customers wont know how good it "used to be" and will be happy to get what they are offering now..

Maybe I am not making any sense..just thinking out loud..

By the way, when exactly will the Media Works as we now know it go away and the new plans start being offered? And same question about the new calling plans..Thanks in advance..

There is not much change to the works..but the basic is going up to $9.99. It will be effective on the 14th of this month. there's a lot more changes coming as well. Not all for the good.
