Do unlocked HTC smartphones detect network settings for inernet, MediaNet, and MMS's, I have an unlocked Nokia N95-3 and it detected network settings just fine w/o me having to enter anything, just put my SIM in for the first time and all set.

I'm really, really looking forward to the HTC Touch Pro coming out, and I'm not interested in being forced to pay a stupid PDA data plan of $30/mo when if I get it unlocked I can pay $15/mo for unlimited MediaNet.

Yeah, I'm liking what I read about the Touch Pro, the VGA screen the more memory, that TouchFLO stuff is cool, probably September I'm guessing it'll be available on simoncells.com, just a guess. Hope it won't be too, too much $$$!!!
