I spend time between El Paso and Lubbock Texas now. El Paso is DEFINATELY a military town with Ft. Bliss being right here. Lubbock seems to just have more "midwest" values where people seem to appreciate things that are earned.
Its good to hear that yall are celebrating for the right reasons out there. i wish more had done it here where i live but that is never the case.
Sorry you don't like drinking beer and celebrating just for the sake of having a good time, to each his own.
My wife was a combat medic for the 101st and spent a year in Iraq. We know exactly why we celebrate July 4, the 4th of July and Independance Day...
Those are the days that i spend with friends family loved ones, my girlfriend just like i did for Independence day. I dont have to have a drink to have a good time no matter what the occassion
I would also like to say thank you to your wife for her dedication and service overseas in Iraq and wherever else she may have been. So thank you to her
also, i thought your post was in response to one of mine so i kind of had an attitude, but it wasn't. sorry.
Im glad for yall she is home and congrats on the little one i hope he/she brings yall much joy in your lives
