Thinking of making the change to ATT. Help?

We live in Georgia, stay mainly north of ATL. We have MetroPCS currently, they have been great (we rarely travel outside of the metro ATL coverage area and it is dirt cheap!) but we are tired of the crappy phones and are looking to travel a bit in the next few years.
Should I go with T mobile or ATT/Cingular? we like getting more for our money, but we're worried about quality of customer service and coverage.
Thanks in advance,
Kat

Well AT&T's network is much larger than T-Mobile's. T-Mobile uses strictly 1900 MHz and usually exists only in the major metro areas. AT&T on the other hand, is in urban and rural environments alike. And if there is no AT&T coverage, you will likely roam on a carrier they have an agreement with. AT&T uses both 850 MHz and 1900 MHz depending on the area, so you will get better coverage in rural areas. Also, AT&T has the iPhone . . . . . LOL.

Thanks for the reply...we are leaning towards ATT.
My husband is a talker and I am a texter, which plan would you recommend? His contacts are primarily ATT. What is the difference between Unity plans and the others? Just rollover minutes?
Sorry for so many questions, and thanks in advance for your help/advice!

When you sign up for 2 or more people, then it is always recommended to get family plan. Look over AT&T family plan. If you are texter, then it is recommended to get unlimited messaging. If you do get family plan, then go for family messaging. (30 dollars a month)
However, if your husband is not interested many messaging at all, then get unlimited messaging just for yourself.
Finally, AT&T unity plan is just what is named for. It allows you to have unlimited mobile to mobile with AT&T customer and Unlimited calling with any AT&T landlines. That is what AT&T unity plan is.
