Sony K850i
So I currently have a w810i that I have had for the last 2 year and love it. Now I am looking at the K850i does anyone have it? What are your thought?

I had one for a week that got stolen. Not here to bitch about that but it is truly an awesome phone. Great camera, 3g is superfast, reception and call clarity better than a lot of ATT branded phones I've used(and I've used a lot). I had a W810i for over a year now and I will say that the K850i is a fantastic upgrade. I would recommend buying from J & R music world over the phone as they are willing to haggle with the price especially if you get a memory card. In the middle of June I got a K850i and a 4gb mem stick M2 for 399.99 and 39.99 respectively. You may want to wait for the C905 from SE or from what I've seen the Nokia N95 is nearly the perfect phone.

I have the k850 right now. It is an awesome phone. I did not wait for the c905 because i like the look if the k850 instead but they are both amazing phones. I have no issues except I cannot figure out thes streaming settings for the phone. Other than that I am very happy with this phone. You really need to check what you want in a phone. This phone is a better actual camera than the n95 but the n95 is a way better smartphone. I have used smartphones for a while and i really wanted something that has the best camera out there and the k850 has the real flash that n95 does not so this phone takes the cake. anybody know the streaming settings?????

I haven't found the streaming settings for that as I am trying to get another one. I was able to stream videos without any special settings in 3g using tinytube.net or m.youtube.com

I keep trying those sites and it wont stream. It opens the player after it says its connected to the server but it just stays at that blak screen with the progress bar on the top. On the top left it has >>> which is think means its buffering but it wont do anything after that.

My area is pretty heavy with the 3g network. I have it set to go between available networks but I am always under the 3g coverage.

You can get the email, MMS and internet settings sent to your phone automatically from the sonyericsson site. Its very easy and they have the correct settings for those 3 but not the settings for the streaming.

That is so wierd. have you tryind entering them manually? you can get them off the forum of the ATT wireless website. Just search "k850 settings" and its like the first one. I have read other thread were people say the could not get anything to work on the k850. No internet or MMS so they exchanged the phone and it worked just fine. Im thinking maybe the firmware? If I cannot find the streaming settings before my allowed return time I will exchange it but this phone is woth it even if I can't stream. I am still going to keep it. 😁

Wasn't hard, another way to do it..
1. Copy the Link (usually on right side on youtube)
2. Paste in www.file2hd.com
3. Convert the file at www.mediaconverter.org
I need a larger memory card, but hell people watch my movies and me and the kids watch Popeye Episodes on it drinking lemonade in the grass...

Compare the N95 and K850i and mske your choice they are both excellent phones and for photos Sony gets the nod. For Video Nokia gets the Nod and a whole host of other features,

The SE k850 is a better camera simply because of the real xenon flash which is just great! You can actually go outside at night in pitch black darkness and take a pic of something with the result being a bright pic that seems to be taken at high noon outside in perfect light. The n95 cannot say that but for everything else like internet speed, web browsing, apps available, UI, music and everything. The way I see it, the n95 is a great smartphone with everything overall but the k850 is a digital camera with a cell phone in it. So if camera is all that matters for you, the choice is the k850.

Then take a look at the N82, it has xenon flash also 5mp and takes fantastic pictures and all the other features of the N95 only in a candybar form. Not sure if it has the U.S. 3G bands though. You would need to check if they make a North American model now. Phone looks great in black. My daughter has a silver one, my wife and I both have N95's.

I have checked out that phone, but I took back my k850 for a new n95-3 instead. I like the silver and flat black on the back more than the glossy black but thats just me.
