iPhone Insanity

Insane is the customer who, when told we have no phones in stock, fly off the hook and demand you give them directions to where they can go and get one right now. Then when you explain there is no place nearby (we have no Apple stores within 3 hours), they go into what I can only describe as a detox frenzy, storm out of the store, slam their car door and peel out through the parking lot as if their tantrum will somehow create an iPhone for them.

Technology addiction or just plain spoiled? You decide.

Oh my gosh, if I were there I would grab those fools and shake some sense into them. IT IS JUST A STOOPID CELL PHONE!!!!!!!! It is not the end of the world!!!!!!! I just cannot believe ...

We have people calling us like, "do you still have the icrap??"

I tell them that we don't carry it, and they give me serious grief, ask where they can get one, and get even more pissed when I tell them, "you can't!"

hahaha! Stupid iFreaks.

Whats insane was this guy that called in to Cst. service (BEUC)and said he was at the Apple store and he couldnt upgrade there. I couldnt get the Indicator off the acct. so he went off on me, and after telling him to go to the COR Att store, he kept asking me why and refusing. It took me at least 40mins to convince him to go to the ATT store. I still didnt think he was convinced. I felt sad for him bc he said he had been there for about 5 hours in line...........Its really NOT that serious.

Well they were telling people to call in and ask if they were BMG accounts and having them remove FAN numbers etc before they could process the upgrade... something tells me the apple reps were not trained. 🙂

they probably had more training than at&t reps, but they probably were trained by the same people and got incorrect info. or like itunes going down they didn't take more than one perfect scenario into consideration.

yup but at least itunes is working now (now its time to fix all the screw ups.. the next two months will be fun)

the apple reps are not trained at all....my district manager came in the day after the launch telling me that an apple store in the mall was activating new lines for customer that were not eligable to upgrade and then sending them to the at&t store in the same mall telling the customer to have at&t fix it. I hate apple some times.

i tell them to go back to the apple store and send the store name and agent to my area manager. 🙂

we had customer care reps calling our store asking why we weren't selling it to customers for 199.99 or why we weren't doing exception upgrades. all documented info that our 3 cor stores here go said that...

Ah yes and the rules changed too...everyone could upgrade either at 199.99 or 399.99 for the 8gb depending on upgrade checker...also at first if they were past due 35.00 or less they could upgrade then that changed. It would have made sense to do a beta test then to do it all live. It stinks when your RAE's do not effectively communicate information but it was all outlined in CSP but it was a link on the side of the Iphone information. (Didnt tell you how to override but it stated the standard upgrade and exception pricing)

Can someone tell me when they will start selling the Iphone at the Early upgrade fee? I have tried order 1 but keep getting told that they are not able to sell at the early upgrade or no commitment price yet.

Nah just a victim of marketing and the crowd mentality who cannot think for them selves and have to have it all NOW, Its a common affliction among the young and dumb.
