I currently have MetroPCS and live in the DFW area. I want to get AT&T, but they want an extremely high deposit. My question is do I get the money back or credited towards bills if I do pay the deposit??

as long as you have consecutive 12 months worth of service with payments on time it will be refunded to you if at the time the check is issued and there is a balance on the account it will be released towards that balance the difference will be refunded via a check.

If you are 1 day late your 12 consectuive months start over. AT&T cannot keep your deposit unless you default and have an unpaid bill. It is just like any other Utility deposit.

Ok, then pay your bill on time 🙂

You can always use autopay.

As long as you pay your bill on time every month the deposit amount is credited onto your bill after 1 year of service.

if you ask me its kinda dumb i myself would prefer to get it back in my hand
