Hey all, I am using att and have use it for with a nokia n76 and an n95 and both phones will give me the error "web connection timed out" while im using the web browser. For example, google and type a search, then click the search button to get the error, I click it over and over about 3 or 4 times with the same error each time, then it will work. Anybody know why both phones have done that? I have had both phones automatically setup the medianet settings. Any clues????

Sounds like a network issue. I have not had any timeout issues with my Nokias..I have had the N82 and now the N95-3 and N95-4.

I tested my phones again and I only have the "WEB: connection time- out" with my nokia n76 and my n95. Both are unlocked unbranded phones, my k850i does not have that problem. Only my nokias. Any fixes on this would be very very helpful. Thank you.

...I know you rave madly about how much you like your unlocked Nokias. Where are you purchasing your phones? I need a new phone, and I'm looking toward unlocked options, but I want to buy from someone reputable. Thanks in advance!

Let's, see. Im not joe or even much help there. I order my phones from a local store that can make special orders. I have ordered all my phones from there so far. I do purchase parts and repair tools from CNN.CN and I sell my old phones at secondrotation.com.

Yeah, my post was directed to AvgJoe.. thus the subject line "Hey Joe". But thanks for your response anyway. I've checked out cnn.cn before, it's a pretty cool site. I'll check out secondrotation.com too.

Indeeed. My first foray into the Nokia N series was the N82, If it had 3G is would still have it. Amazon had the best price for the N95-4 but it may have come from Mobile City I didn't check.

I cannot decide which to keep now though the N95-3 or the N95-4

The N95-4 is much faster at opening apps, especially the camera. But the 8GB internal is far slower to load than the external SD cards direct.
The screen is bigger but same resolution. Bigger pixels (brighter ho hum)

Some of the GUI is different like the carousel which I do like better. I have not figured out how to rid my gallery of all t...

My name is joe but not in my username...I saw that tigerdirect has the N95-3 for 399.99. That is the best price right now. But you can look at mobileplanet(dot)com, importgsm(dot)com, plemix(dot)com or just go to gsmarena(dot)com and pick your phone; they list retailers who sell it. Most are all really good becuase it is really hard to advertise on that site as they are very picky.

On the topic of the first post...I too have noticed the time out error on the unlocked phones that I have. I think it's kind of like what comcast does for p2p users. ATT is doing it. Now that is just my theory but I believe it may be a good one.

Anyother thoughts.

I got my n95-3 at a local retailer for $500 even. Good store, great prices. What is the latest firmware for the n95-3? I just updated my firmware 20.2 from the software update program. I read online about a version 22 I think but my software keeps saying I got the latest. Any possible fixes for the main topic?
