Wireless Operational Highlights
AT&T delivered strong wireless growth in the second quarter with solid subscriber gains, continued rapid growth in wireless data revenues and improved margins. Highlights include the following:

* 15.8 Percent Wireless Revenue Growth. Total wireless revenues increased 15.8 percent to $12.0 billion in the second quarter, and wireless service revenues, which exclude handset and accessory sales, grew 14.8 percent to $11.0 billion. Wireless revenue growth was driven by solid subscriber gains and a greater number of customers choosing more advanced smartphones and integrated devices, spurring increased usage of data services. And wireless customer care is still the lowest paid care in the whole company..including wireless management. 🙂

Nobody posted the numbers b/c more people on this site care about whining, complaining, and the whole "my carrier can beat your carrier up" argument than actually posting facts and helpful information. I swear you have to navigate through pages of bull**** just to find one good piece of info in this forum anymore.

I second that thought. I have pretty much given up trying to help people because it's to much of a hassle of wading through the crap to get to the one customer who has a legitimate complaint.

lol - not even close huh? Show me one independently run test that shows no one close to Verizon's network...? And by independent test I mean a study that actually road tested networks - not a poll sent out to a bunch of magazine subscribers like JD Power/Consumer reports - actual scientific data from actual tests. Every test I have seen puts ATT neck and neck with Verizon - Verizon better in some areas, ATT better in others.

Keep drinking the kool-aid my friend 🙂

Dumb argument. Coverage is ONLY important where one lives works and plays most of the time. The rest is a waste for them and means nothing.

Why would anyone but a VErizon employee care about having coverage where someone does not go and never will go...

Thats like saying GSM coverage is worldwide therefore its better...

Can you even begin to fathom how short-sighted and dim-witted your argument is??? For somebody who has such a holistic viewpoint on life (which you do, I'm old enough and mature enough to see your gems sprinkled in all of your rhetoric), to s...

And you are always the first to respond. Who are you kidding?

Don't go too far in your attempts and intelligent response it's clearly unfamiliar territory and I can see it doesn't take much to "break your brain" (whatever that means).
Looks to me your one brain cell is fighting for dominance.

Coverage only matters where you live work and play period. Thats why regionals have customers. Hell Alltel has more customers than Verizon in most of the markets they serve together. Go figure, Sparky.

Heres another thought....Nevermind ........ I'm not sure you have a place to put it!

Who cares as long as they get service where they live work and play.......

Hell Alltel has more subscribers than Verizon in many markets they serve together. And they are regional company. Largest sometimes in not the best.

Investors care. Investors give the company more money. More money gives the company more capital. More capital gives you more cell sites. More cell sites give you more service where you live, work, and play.

it was sarcasm. verizon, sprint (both cdma and iden), alltel and cellular south work where i live. at&t does not... there was never good service but i could get one bar maybe two in one little area of the house, but i've lost that and even mti and att.com coverage map changed to show no service where i live... so working for at...

Well then I'm sorry for our grief.

Let everyone know that you are one person who is exempt from my statement before.

Allow me to revise it:

More cell sites give you more service where you live, work, and play. Except at Crackberry's house. Where AT&T doesn't work.

So what does this bring the total amount of customers up to?

Personally I'm still waiting for REAL broadband to fork over $60/mo, REAL broadband means consistent, real world, end user speeds of 3/4/5mbps.
