iphone and activation?
If buy the new iphone can I cancel the $30 iphone plan and keep the iphone? I know I will still be under the two year contract but is that for just the cell service or is it for the cell service and the iphone package to? I wont an iphone but I dont need the data and they dont have 3G close to me anyway. again I know I will have to keep the cell service for two years. and know I am not just trying to make a buck on ebay either I would use the iphone. I know on the first one you could do this.

you better off getting a i pod touch and going to verizon and getting a LG DARE they have better phone service and there INTERNET on the phone always works and it is 15$ not 30$ for the service at verizon 😁

Ok let me out this another way, If you get the new iphone and then you loose it and cant afford a new one, you cant cancel just the iphone data and keep just the service, cause I cant see them making you pay for a service for a phone you dont still have.

the iphone data plan is required. and the only way to remove the data plan is to call customer service and change the imei to anything different than a iphone. then we can remove it

So if I cell in with the IMEI# of my old phone and tell them that I lost the iphone I could get the iphone package removed and then I could still use the iphone though, right? I just dont wont to pay for the data as I wont use it at all.

I believe the iPhone won't work if it's not registered to the account. Why do you want the phone if your not going to use it's services? Perhaps you should look into the LG Vu.

I wont the iphone for the great features that is has just like everone else, they dont have 3G here or around here. but I could still use the other stuff that make the iphone a cool phone and I would use the wIfI.
