Best Buy to sell Iphone starting september 7th
I just saw a promo on bestbuy.com saying they will be selling the Iphone in thier retail stores starting September 7th.....not only dose that piss me off since I work in a COR store but we have to order all our phone for our customers....if Best Buy gets actual shipments to sell instead of having to order them like us I think all COR RSC should go on strike....Its stupid enough that all the appple stores get them bye the hundreds....its taking money out of my pocket, and food out of my childrens mouths and im sick of it.

In all fairness I'm an Authorized Retailer and I could say the same to you. We can't even order, we have to tell the sale to go see you to give you their money.

Im not angry at the fact that they will be selling it im more worried about them getting more frequent shipments then us cause we have not gotten a shipment of phones to just sell since the launch on July 11th....its bad enough the Apple stores get actual shipments and we are not....Plus I can imagine how many customers will come into our store all confused cause thier bill will be messed up cause the rep didnt inform them how this phone works....Im saying this cause I used to work at Best Buy and I know I will be fixing alot of thier mistakes

ACtually, the same amount of iphones are distributed between COR and Apple Stores. The difference being 2000 COR and only 200 Apple. Which gives the appearance of Apple having more phone.
Best Buy will be in a similar situation with 800 locations . Their inventory will be coming from Apple directly and not from the AT&T Memphis, or any other, DC. They also are primary retailer for the iphone in Europe.

We talked about it on our conference call this morning. The higher ups basically said deal with it and sell them something else. They gave us a list of excuses of why we couldn't have it and blamed it on Apple so nothing new there.

Like Apple hasn't totally screwed up people's accounts. I have had people come straight to my store from Apple and I have to do the whole jargon with bill expectations and proration. I feel that premier stores have more than proven themselves to be as knowledgable if not more so than core stores. I walk into the mobile Bestbuy I'm the only one there and there are 3 associates who ignore me. When I have shopped them their knowledge is very limited. I would love to know why they got the Iphone while dealers have not. Thoughts on this?

Apple constantly destroys peoples accounts, a lot. I've had people call in after having the iphone for a few days, and I check unbilled usage - and lo and behold - some apple rep didnt even add the IPHONE plan to their account!! Nothing like telling the customer they have $3,800 in unbilled data usage on their account.

I am tired of filling out those forms as well they become very annoying and time consuming. I'm working on my stats because I purposely let them roast in hell.
Removing the FAN is annoying, I tell them if they go to the Cor store they can upgrade them with no problem. But no since everyone wants the phone today they go to apple and get the Fan removed. I did not add someone's FAN because they did not work at Costcos and never have they got mad.

reason 1: With the current pricing structure, your principle (owner) could not afford the subsidies on this handset and would loose money.
reason 2: BB is buying these directly from Apple and not the AT&T DC.
reason 3: even if you got every principle together in a buying group, they could not purchase the amount that BB will.
reason 4: You may have the greatest, most honest agency on the planet. That is not the case with all dealers. It is much easier to control employees in a corporate environment that it is to have to deal with hundreds of owners and their cousins.

the iphone will be sold at bestbuy via apple employees. Also, COR does not always know what there doing man. I have a COR store in the same mall as I work in and they mess things up all the time. The only thing core is good for is cross marketing. Also, radioshack will get the iphone in jan of 2009.

Well, let's look at it this way; Would you rather have someone with extensive training handling your account or an hourly Best Buy person who doesn't have any motivation to pay attention to detail? And please don't get me started on Radio Shack, are they still in business?

Sorry i ment to write that bestbuy will be selling the iphone but it will be apple trained people. Radioshack will be selling the iphone in the beginning of 2009.. sorry, late night typing..lol.
