Coming back to AT&T
Hello all, I was with AT&T, switched to T-Mobile on a whim and found out their coverage can't compare to AT&T. After a lot of calls to T-Mobile they finally agreed to let me out of the contract without an ETF and are letting me keep my Blackberry Pearl 8120. My question is how can I get my Pearl to work with AT&T? Is there a chance that T-Mobile would give me the code? Does anyone have any referrals as to a place that can be trusted not to rip me off if I pay for a code? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

There is a fat chance t-mobile will give you the unlock code now that you are leaving and they know you are leaving. I know a place in my area that will unlock the phone for a pretty good price. Im in the DFW area so i could get you know where they are. Unlocking a blackberry is very difficult and should be done by someone who knows how to do it.

unlocking a BB is easy. you just need to know how to get to the screen to enter the unlock code.

You need to be aware - tmobiles blackberry will have a lot of problems with ATT networks. I get a lot of calls about unlocked phones that cant access the internet, or even picture messages. Texting and calling, however, should work ok.

I called T-Mobile and asked them for a subsidy code number for both of my phones and they were very pleasant and more than happy to do that for me. It may take up to a week to get it but it is processing.

Well, glad to see they are beats paying some person to get it unlocked. (Which I am skeptical of.)

Update...... T-Mobile did send me the unlock codes yesterday like they promised and today I have signed back up with AT&T. I have a question, does AT&T give out subsidy codes for their phones?
