I'm just curious. I know the carrier I work for processes early upgrades based on price plan, does such a thing exist for AT&T?

fredd.... u are no help

depending on certain factors u can have an early upgrade after 12 months of service if those qualifications are met .

tenure being one
revenue brought to the company is number 2
and your calling into customer service for constant complaints and credits is low

you could be eligible for an early upgrade if neccessary ...

in some cases u would have to take insurance if the reason for upgrade is due to u breaking the phone or if u want a blackberry some stores may require u to activate on a Data plan to get the phone at a deal

also in those cases u may be required to pay the 1 year pricing which can be somewhat higher than the 2 year pricing by as much as $50 or $100 dollars and u may not be eligibl...

Thanks for the reply, I currently use the Curve and I'm looking to switch to the Bold. My 1 year mark should roughly be October 1 so I was hoping to switch when it first hits the market.

ATT also has the exception upgrade as well. It is $50 added to the 2yr price after rebate.Example is the a737 is $29 after rebate with a standard upgrade. With an exception upgrade it is $79 after rebate. The $50 is what my store charges for the exception ugrade and it may be more or less at different stores.

I work for verizon so understand the concepts of early upgrade/no commitment pricing/full retail and complaining to customer service. I just want to be able to go in and do an early upgrade smoothly. I'm assuming that isn't possible and i'm going to have to work to get this

work as in talk to a manager of a store .....

sometimes they will understand that new stuff comes out and it will work better for u with the new equipment ....

also if u can convince customer service to note the account of an early upgrade .....
tell them u are having reception problems and the bold is supposed to be better in reception than the curve .... usually they will do it because u are having issues ... atleast it worked for me a while back
