iPhone data plan
So I'm new to the site.. I've been looking through the forum to see if the question has been asked but I cant seem to find it.. Does anyone know if when you add the 30$ data plan if unlimited text messaging is included in that? I have alltel right now.. Im in a plan where I get unlimited web messaging email and nights at 7.. if anyone could let me know what included in that I'd appreciate it. I'm a huge text'er so unlimited messaging is a must.

No it is not. The messaging is seperate and costs an additional $20..plus if you message alot be aware that you have to go thru email to send multimedia messages..The i phone is VERY different from what you are probably using now so definitely make sure it is what you want first!!

I have the HTC touch.. I like it because I use the internet and alot of the functions on it. Alltels plans are nice in the aspect of what you get. My bill is 140 something after tax so Im not worried about what I have to add.. Im just wondering what your paying for when you add the data package.. Because to me data is including text.. so what do they consider it... just internet?

data is data aka internet thats it. So with that you get unlimited web access and email. The only additional service you want is text messaging which as bledsoe stated, is $20 a month. So for $50 you get unlimited data and text.

That is very true, Also in your iphone data plan, it includes your visual vmail. so without that iphone data plan, u wont get your vmail at all. Thats another reason why they made the iphone data plan mandatory when you get an iphone. So yeah, u have to add the unl msg for $20.
