CANCELLING?
Ok, I bought (2) Lg Shines. I am not satisfied with the phones, nor the service. The Service is way more than expected. AT&T has a 30 cancellation policy correct? It has only been 22 days. I understand paying the proration. Will I have to pay ETF, month in advance bill, activation fee? Will I be refunded the cost for the phones? What are my options?

Actually, got the service due to family having it. They are switching, so now it is pointless. What about the phones. I know I would have to return them, but what about the 49.99 I paid?

Depending on where you got your phones, you should get your money back. You would need to take the equipment back where you got it. That includes boxes, chargers, manuals, etc. and they should give you a refind. I will warn you though, some stores charge a restocking fee for equipment returned.

my goodness.. t-mobile??? make sure you know where your going and take advantage of that 14 day trial before you get stuck in it. I had t-mobile before, good plans, customer service is alright. but coverage and signal just sucks but it might work for you. oh yeah i lived in new york city and i had no signals in buildings.

I called them and asked if it was going to be better than SunCom (they sucked) and they said they was adding more towers but I am not sold on that.... Was also looking at VZW....know people with them and they seem happy....I sometimes think that Sprint is better than T-Mobile....

at&t and t-mobile both use GSM but at&t invested more money and more towers thats why there GSM coverage is a lot more better than t-mobile. and plus at&t upgraded to 3G way before tmo. t-mobile bought suncom.... so i would definitly check into that. i heard suncom suck too. i would have to say at&t and verizon have the best coverage. i would go with verizon. yeah... everyones better than tmo. lol. there network i mean.

Do you have verizon? I like at&t, its just sometimes the other people I talk to sound muffled and I wonder if it is just the phones we have (Razr and an old LG) 🙂

i used to have verizon. and then i went to t-mobile(sucked) and now at&t. im really pleased with at&t though. i like verizon no doubt, and there service is good, but i travel a lot and the GSM sim card works perfect for me thats why im with at&t. And calls, my calls are clear ill have one or two dropped one, but ill get static/muffled only if im sitting at 1 bar of service. you should test it out on new phones.

yeah the blackberry bold is nice!!! i cant wait till that phone comes out. its going to be out in mid- october. 3G here in my area is fine. so im guessing your going with t-mobile?? since your going with the curve 8320. just test out the service on there trial period and make your choice

As long as you kept all your box and packing you will get a refund for what you paid on the phones (and if they are in new condition). You will pay the act fee and prorated amount for monthly service used. That is the standard policy for AT&T corporate and most branded dealer locations. Third party could be different.
