your friend isn't cingular anymore, if she is in Puerto Ric...

Possibly... I get them from family in puerto rico and I get them fine... It might be her phone or your phone... I would call customer service and ask them to troubleshoot it first... Maybe her side to start off with if she is the only person it happens with...
I did they had no clue of what I was talking about...
Oh also, I just asked my friend (who also has a cingular GSM phone in NY) to send me a txt in spanish. It did the same thing too...
