Are you talking about a place to walk in and have your phone fixed?

I believe he's referring to the walk in warranty exchange centers.

My guess is it's something to do with inventory, I mean having to have some of everything in and paying people to be at a store when there's a perfectly good program in place.

They are usually only available in larger markets and are not carrier supported. What brand phone and in what city?

At&t has two in the DFW area and they're opening a 3rd. It's an alternative to XBM, but customers still complain. They can't wait a day to have it mailed and they can't drive 30 minutes to have it swapped out either.

Wow, I'm pretty sure he have 0, Nada, A big Fat Easter Egg in Washington. I like XBM though.

I just wish people understood why they get a refurb and not a new piece of equipment. 🙄

There are also several warranty repair centers run by third party companies in DFW.

People will never be happy even with many options. I always ask where they can go to get anything replaced with a new item. They usually just give me a blank stare and are lost with my comparison.

I asked what kind of phone and where are you. You said Mesa and "they" support all phones. If "they" is Device Support Centers does that mean there is one in Mesa? If not just answer my question so I can help you instead of all this back and forth action.

So....

What KIND of phone.

You can go to any one that can repair your phone. They may charge you but you can go anywhere you choose.

I'll only go to those that'll repair it for free. If I have to drive 30-45 minutes one way to do so, then so be it. It beats the crap outta waitting 2-5 business days for it.

I used to work in the Warranty department for at&t. Many people complained about not having one in their area. If the calls were truly "monitored for quality assurance", they'd be able to pick up on that.

Yea but I think XBM is an incredible idea and people are just ungrateful. If your TV screen goes out what do you do, box it up and mail it across the country. No free repair or exchange centers, no hotline to call and have them ship you one and then you ship yours back. I can't think of any other product with a program quite like this. Even if I had a DSC within 50 miles, I've never had an exchange take more than two days. I'd wait. Granted I also have an assortment of phones.
