Account info on cingular's website

Does anyone use the account site at cingular.com to check stuff? I'm wondering how come about every 5 or 6 links I link within my account (after logging in), it takes me back to the login page and tells me to log in again, then takes me to the starting page after I log in. It's quite annoying and makes it hard to do anything using that site. I've tried two different browsers on this machine, and I think I've used the site on different machines too, with the same result...

Only observing here, but, you call reps incompetent and clueless..how many helpful responses do you actually think you will get in navigating that particular site you are asking about....?? Like I said, only observing..

If you have your accoutn set up you should only have to go through two pages... But it does slightly vary from market to market... Where are you located?

Not just that, some of the links are even more secure links, and some links take you out of the secure area, and then to get back you have to re-enter your info to re-enter the secure areas!!

My billing address is in Washington state...

the thing is, I'll log in and see my account home page. Then i'll start going around to look at my bill or minutes or whatever. At some point, I'll click on a link, and instead of taking me to the link it will just take me back to the main log in page and tell me to log in again. So I log in, and I'm back at the main page (rather than whatever link I clicked on)

someone commented on what i've said about the reps...well I was also looking to see if there's other cingular customers here who have had the same problems using the site...

It will timeout after a certain amount of inactive time... And another thing, going from secure to non-secure back to secure might do it too. 😁 Hope that helps a bit

lol no, I give up :-P

it never tells me if I pass from secure to non-secure. And this happens in one sitting, so I click, read for a minute, then click again 🙂

I have the same problem. All it will take, for example, is a click on "view details" under "my minutes" and I'm being rerouted to a "log-in page". I've mentioned it to Cingular before and according to them the problem is on their end.

It doesn't happen all time, but it's frustrating and time consuming whenever it does!

What browser are you using? In IE, you get alittle yellow padlock symbol in the lower-right corner of the window to show you're in a secure site...

Yes! I have the identical problem on Cingular's webpages for viewing my personal account, bills, minutes and rollover balance. It is infuriating, just as described above. Clicking a different view or "report" dumps you out to the original login page.

It happens at random, and it's not a function of timing out your security pass - it can happen within seconds, not minutes. Once you're in a secure site, you should remain within that secure site. Maybe they should ask Wells Fargo or B of A, both of which sites operate quite normally.

I did figure out this much as a workaround. Work your way to the page showing a "download" button and pull your bills down as Excel files where you can work on them without interruption. You can usually man...

maybe they all quit using them out of frustration :-P

I think i've emailed support in the past about various things too...don't think i've ever heard back either. That's a good tip, if i ever get really frustrated, i'll go downalod them. usually, I just give up after the 2nd or 3rd time it kicks m out 😛
