So....anyone else think its lame that the only accessory the w760 comes with is a home charger? This is super lame! Especially for the price.

what? Are you saying that AT&T removes the headphones and the data cable from the box?

Like the W350. Maybe it's the new standard with SE. First it was no memory card. Now it's no memory card, data cable, or stereo headset. Too bad.

yes. that is exactly what I am saying. Just comes with a home charger. Might as well buy it unlocked from sony after all it would cost to get a memory card, headset, and USB cable.

Dude first of all tell me any other company that gives you that stuff besides a data device. Second the price is higher because its 3g, it has a 3 megapixel camera and GPS. so ya the price is highr for those reason. get a grip.

Haha. whatever. You think they took those out to keep costs down? Yeah right! Oh yeah and what company includes that stuff in their retail package? SONY!

Your right they take them out so they can sell them to you on the side.

Most if not all SE phones here in the UK come with the Data Cable, Head Phones and main charger. Mine came with a bonus cleaning cloth.

My 902SE came with all the above. Stop bitching if you only know how much that phone cost unactiveated.

Everyone in sales and most of the non-zombie population know the cost of a $30 data cable is around $3.50. And the earbud headsets even less. They could have included them for $5 more on the price of the phone. One of the strong selling points of the 580i was the fact that this non-smartphone came with a data cable and headphones (especially since the only headphones that will work have the Sony only connector on one end).

This is a known trend with Sony these days. Ask any console gamer how they feel about Sony taking out the backwards compatability on the 80+ gig PS3s.

It is increasing profits by reducing value. A gamble that may or may not work. Time will tell.

That makes no sense, To buy the w760 outright.

When you could buy a P1, or K850 outright for almost the same price.

hmmm?

well it depends on what features you want and what price your willing to spend.

w760= $270
k850= $309 ok...that is a great price right now
P1 is triband so you'd be taking a risk with that one.

All I'm saying is that I wish they would include in the package what the manufacturer includes when you buy it unlocked. Although I'm sure my accessory sales would suffer! 😉

Well, if you were to buy it w/o contract, and WITH all the accessories that you mentioned, you would pay $319 on ebay.

What do you think about that price? Compared to what you paid AT&T w/o the accessories. Perhaps it's not too late, maybe you can return it.

Who ever said I bought one? And you think ebay is always the cheapest?

And bloatware free.

Or I can buy one on my ANR line for $229 and use the $40 dollars I saved and buy the headset, memory card, and data cable on my own somewhere else. But personally I'd rather have it unlocked.

Wow $229! What's an ANR line?
I've been buying phones unlocked now for 3yrs. Last time I actually bought a phone from Cingular was the SE T617 I think it was. BT was kinda new way back then.
I now use an unlocked N95-3, and lovin it, having a hard time finding anything that matches up to an N95.

the cost on the w760 from at&t is $230 locked.

an ANR line is a agent line. Its what most dealers get to sign up for when they sell at&t. Its a very low monthly rate but we don't get cheap rates on phones. We get them at whatever the cost is. but I'm with you, I have had better experiences with my unlocked bloatware free phones. Except my BB 8310 I've had not complaints and wouldn't change a thing.
