A question for Cingualr reps
NOTE: Please only answer this if you are a rep for Cingular directly, either at a Corporate-owned store or center. Please don't respond if you work for a third-party dealer, outsourced call-center or the like.
What sort of employee discounts do you get on plans and phones? Is it a certain percent off, other bonuses? I'm looking into submitting my resume to some local Cingular stores (currently work in a n outsourced call center, so I don't work for the carrier directly) and I'm curious what bonuses there are on Cingular equipment and services.

i work in a call center and we have employee rate plans with either 500 or 1000 minutes. you also get 30% off the no contract price of a phone. as i'm an orginal at&t employee i still get their employee line which is free with unlimited local mins and text so i can't tell you the price of the rate plans but i know they're resonable.

Depending on the area... You are either eligible for 30% off equipment or 40% off in CWA (unionized) areas. Plans you are eligible for a 500 minute "ERP" and a 1000 ERP line which also includes 200 text, nationwide service, unlimited mms, and 5MB of data. IS there anything else you want yo know?

We're CWA here and get 30%. i've never heard of 40%, but that would be nice 😉

The CWA discount is 40%. So as long as you have a CWA card you are good for the extra 10%

some more questions:
What do you mean by ERP? Employee Rate Plan?
Does the 500 minute plan include the Text Messaging and other stuff you mentioned, or is that only on the 1000 minute plan (I wouldn't likely break over 400 minutes, but i use text messaging quite a bit)?
Can other features be added on if not included (Text if not already on, Mobile-To-Mobile, etc.)?

to clarify it's not completely free i do believe you have to pay taxes on it and any overages. I'm not 100% sure i have a contract phone 😢
