If you asking if Indirect ATT agents can sell the Iphone......

In short NO.

At least not till ATT corp stores and Best Buy are done selling it to every one you know. Then maybe just maybe the indirect agents might get it.

But dont get your hopes up. ATT loves to mess with there indirects alot. They are the mafia of the wireless world.

There is also a rumor out there that WalMart may start carrying it also. I sure hope not.

As an agent, I have no interest in carrying the iPhone. By the time we could be allowed to sell it, the demand will be very low and it's already being outdated by newer phones. All of the SoA (Servants of Apple) already have it and I only get maybe one inquiry a month about them now. And I just sell them a Blackberry instead. 😁

My favorite thing about not carrying the Iphone is that when customers come in with their Iphone and problems, we get to say "Sorry, you will need to go to a COR store for that."

Until you are in our shoes you have no earthly clue how this hurts our business. It goes well beyond lost sales.

Not giving the iPhone to agents was one of the worst moral moves in the history of retail. Apple's arrogance and AT&T's lack of backbone have contributed to more good people leaving this industry than any other marketing effort ever.

Verizon already rejected the iPhone and Apple's arrogance. Who was Apple going to turn to next, T-Mobile? Sprint?

Yup, no backbone whatsoever.

I hope that soon all agent stores will be a thing of the past, MANY have closed down here in chicago and I'm ecstatic!!! Everyone I know who has ever gotten a phone from an agent had nothing but problems.. Good luck to you though and your agent store...

And I hope that wherever you work you get laid off!

That is just about as stupid, isn't it.

Agent stores are not going away. The good ones are staying and the bad ones are closing. Maybe in the land of Obama everyone is a slickster but not as a general rule.

But good luck with your cynical attitude there.

All blacks all crooks.

All mexicans are illegal.

All agents are bad.

It is just as prejudiced of a statement to say as the first two.

I have to disagree. I have probably 3-4 people a day who want one. People will continue to want one and we will continue to have people return phones they bought from us to go get an iphone instead. ITs a freaking joke.

Are agents (except Spring, hose job of the century) Apple Authorized Retailers?

No.

Can we "assist" you in the purchase of an iPhone.

If they are smart, yes!

I have nothing against Spring. Actually went to a conference where one of the owners was a speaker. Seems like a very intelligent guy.

What I was saying is that Spring is the one who got hosed by Apple/AT&T. Spring is an Apple Authorized Retailer yet they cannot carry the iPhone. That has been the excuse given to us agent principals as to why we cannot carry the iPhone, we aren't Apple Authorized Retailers. It is like they thought we were too ignorant to realize there are AT&T agents who already were.

Tell me about it. I work for them! Its hard to explain to a customer that I sell everything for at&t and apple but I still can't sell the iphone. Ya the CEO is a stud.

Yeah I visited the store in the mall in Orem, UT. I was shocked when all along they told me I couldn't sell it because we weren't authorized. I knew of Spring before then but didn't know about the Apple connection until i visited that day.

Oh well, at least the Samsung Eternity launched today. Looks pretty sweet!
