New Line - Caller ID

I am adding a line to my account and want to know how to update the caller id to show their name and not mine.

Is there a way to do that?

Last I heard they're not supposed to legally do it, but they do anyway. Call Customer Service and they can change the name for the caller ID.

Yes, you can absolutely do this. Just call in, and request them to submit a CNAM form.

It can be up to 15 letters, can either be |first name, last name|, |First name Last Name|, or |Last name, First name|.

CNAM cannot be implemented on the following accounts:

Reseller
Per line block numbers
Government disconnects, and other special account designated by the class of service and credit class codes

If the customer has the name and number of an incoming caller programmed into their wireless phone’s address book or stored on a wired caller ID box, that name will override what the network sends.

Tec support did mine for me. I wanted mine to say my name and my wifes to say her name. and they did it.

for those who know the answer to this... does it cost money to do this and if so how much......and can you make a separate caller id for each line you have?
