Nobody has commented on AT&T's newest aquisition of buying Centennial Wireless. That is great news for me because Centennial has the best coverage where I live and now that AT&T has bought them that means even better coverage for me!!!! 😁 Now if AT&T would add their free incoming calls and text messages that Centennial has that would be freaking awesome!

Get Centennial and when the actual acquisition occurs you will be able to keep that plan for awhile. Otherwise, ha.

Even though I've never heard of Centennial Wireless until lately, I think its really good news too because it improves service without having to roam and keeps ATT in a healthy lead over Verizon. Dont get me wrong I like Verizons phones and have considered getting them also but i believe that in a great country thats all about new things, new technologies should be in the lead (referring to GSM)

Well the only thing with this is, Centennial isn't that big of a company. They only have around a million customers. Verizon will still have way more customers after the Alltel acquisition. Also, Centennial isn't known for having that great of coverage. I mean, they're a GSM company after all, covering rural areas. GSM just doesn't cut it in rural areas like CDMA does.

Eventually all carriers will use LTE (except for Sprint assuming they survive).

oh yeah, and i forgot to say that a similar situation occurred in my area in december 07. Cellular One (by Dobson Communications) was acquired by ATT and everyone got really excited for the new phone selection for christmas. everythingwent really smoothly here and all the stores have completely transitioned to att including the iphone, and have been so since near the beginning. Even the stores removed their cellular one illuminated sign and replaced it with a new att one. the only complaints i have would be that we still lack a full store with technicians and new cell phone towers were never built here as promised to bridge coverage gaps. But everything else went great. I hope your coverage improves.
