Currently I have 2100 min family plan and one of my line will eligible for phone upgrade on Januarys 29, 2009.

Would the eligibility date change if I change my minutes plan one step up? If the answer is "yes" do you know how much sooner it will be?

Thanks!

When did you sign up, is that line the primary line, and do you have any other features associated with it? If that's the primary line, it shouldn't, $100 MRC gives you the earliest upgrade.

Because I didn't get what you mean by "$100 MRC gives you the earliest upgrade", let me give you little more information.

Actually, I have this account for 14 years and I don't remember when I upgrade this line last time. I know the eligibility date from AT&T website. And yes, this one is primary line. Currently I pay $110 for the first two lines + $20 for two more lines. Also I have MediaNet Unlimited for $15 on this line and on one more? and Unlimited Family Messaging for $30.

So, is there any chance to have Upgrade Eligibility sooner?

To put what he said in English instead of cellularese, you have to be paying for a rate plan of at least $100 per month for ATT to change your availability date for upgrade. If you have a single plan, that means your plan must be $100 or more, or if you have a Family Talk plan, it must be the primary line and be a plan greater than $100. Just changing your plan usually does not affect the eligibility date, because you can change your plan every month if you want. By the way, with the $100+ plan, you still have to have had the phone 12 months.

No, MRC is monthly recurring charge. If you have more than $100 MRC the date shown will be the earliest.
