Bold vs. Curve vs. Pearl 8120
I don't work for AT&T and haven't been paying much attention to the release of the Bold. An acquaintance of mine has AT&T service and was interested in getting a Blackberry on their service. I know that the Bold has 3G and video capabilities, but these things aren't really a big deal considering the Blackberry would be used primarily for email as opposed to internet.
In any case, I'm not very educated on the Bold. Can someone give me a breakdown of the pros/cons of getting a Bold over the Curve or Pearl? The price is pretty steep, and I'm not sure the price difference is worth it in this instance. I might be missing something though. Any opinions or advice is appreciated.

If she legitimately will not use the internet then the Bold may not be the right phone for her. Pearl vs. Curve is QWERTY keyboard.
Bold also has a much brighter screen, more onboard memory, WiFi and more memory reading ability (up to 32 GB).
Video can be added to the Curve with a basic system upgrade.
Good luck and I hope this helps.

This guy doesn't own a computer. Up until this point, he's had his receptionist print out all of his emails so that he can read them. He saw my Blackberry and was interested in getting email on his phone. The internet would go completely unused.
What is the policy on international email? Would he need to be connected to WIFI for that?

There is a plan that allows for international roaming, I believe it is $70 a month or somewhere close to that. With WiFi he could get onto hotspots for free and check his email.

The Unlimited International BlackBerry add-on to voice is $64.99. Provides unlimited email & internet access. The main advantages of the Bold over the other devices is the faster data transmission speed on 3G, larger & faster processor, and ability for simultaneous data & voice while in a 3gG area.
