Help!!! BlackBerry Bold wi-fi issues

The Bold I recently activated does not seem to pick up my in house Wi-Fi signal, even though other devices in the house have no issues.

Is this a common issue with the Bold? Do I exchange for a new Bold, or try a Pearl 8120?

Help!!!

Answers to 1 & 3

I have a Storm...up for sale on eBay

2. My area does not have 3G, so I supplement the EDGE data with my Wi-Fi

Now go out and buy my BB Storm!

WHAT???!!!???? 😲

Someone is selling a Storm??!!?!?!?!?

From what I heard from the godfather, that phone was so great that users were running out and getting Big V tattoos because they were so in love!

My whole world is shattered now....

Where is the godfather to make me feel more in tune withthe world....*sniff*

could you elaborate a bit more. were you able to connect before? do you have to bb data plan? i think you have to have it (but only if you want to use an AT&T hotspot) it sounds like your issue is in your home. one thing i can really suggest, and that is don't downgrade to a pearl. the bold is awesome! the forum is very slow on the we. hopefully someone will help you tomorrow.

Yes, I have the $30.00 data plan. My area does not have 3G yet, so I am supplementing the EDGE speeds with Wi-Fi. The BOLD finds my Wi-Fi network, it just does not want to stay connected to it. The Wi-Fi icon keeps going from white to gray.

I really don't want to downgrade to a Pearl, either, the screen on the Bold seems almost HD quality, the internet is great on it. Maybe I just got a BOLD with a bad Wi-Fi radio.

Are you still under 30 days? is exchange an option? have you taken the battery out while still on, and all that? I would say call AT&T's tech support, but you'll have to be really lucky to get a knowledgable rep who knows what he's doing.
