How much is 1 MB of internet usage?
My wife wants limited web. I was told there's a $5 1MB web plan. she will use it for just checking email and a couple sites. How far will 1 MB go a month? Thanks.

Not very far. Depending on the size of the email I could see checking/sending about 100 emails at that. Page views depend on the type of phone being used.

Not far at all. I don't know about emails, but I tried loading this site (phonescoop.com) on my LG CU500 without a data plan. I did not even load the whole page and I exited out of the browser. I was charged $5.22 for using 522KB.

Honestly, if she plans to check e-mails say, twice a week and received only 5 e-mails each time, the chances are very high she will exceed 1MB easily.
Don't even think about web browsing more than two or three times.
Unlimited Media net is only $10 a month more. That is like one dinner for two at McDonalds a month. Trust me, you will probably end up paying more if she checks e-mail and a couple of sites more than once a month.
