verifying unlocked status?

i recently purchased two unlocked phones. i was curious if they are really unlocked and if there is a way to verify that they are actually unlocked? they are both samsung's blackjack 2's..

Try both AT&T and T-Mobile SIM cards in them, if they both work without prompting you for a code, it is unlocked.

No. Go to a tmobile store and ask them to put a sim in the phone. If they refuse, tell them that eventually when your contract expires you'll port to tmobile or something... they'll be more helpful that way
