I want to use my brother's former T-Mobile Treo 180 on my Cingular plan. I asked a Cingular store tech if I can just swap in the SIM card from my present GSM phone. He said "yes" but cautioned that I would have to pay roaming charges since the phone is set at 900 and 1900 Mhz, wheres Cingular uses 850 and only "roaming" at 1900. Does this make any sense?

you wouldnt PAY roaming on a Nation plan, but if the phone isn't capable of 850Mhz, then chances are your coverage will suck.
