Early upgrade then returned phone question

I took advantage of the 6 month early upgrade option. But I decided I didn't like the phone and took it back. They told me that if I returned I would revert back to my old contract. Well according to my AT&T account I'm now on a new 2 year contract. Who should I see about getting this fixed? Call AT&T CS or go back to the store I got the phone at.

Any advice.

Just take your return receipt back to the store and have them call in to reverse the upgrade. At the time of return the rep should have reverted the upgrade to the original contract. Customer service will only reverse it if you have proof of return. I've made the mistake of not clicking the reverse upgrade button and it causes headaches, but I screwed up and I fixed it.

When you did the exception upgrade, the store that serviced you should have put you back on your old contract. If you resort back to the intial point of sale, they should be able to fix it. When we reverse upgrades, your old IMEI is reattached to the account.

Once that is fixed, you should be able to redo the exception upgrade again.

I am surprised the store that sold you the intial phone did not offer something to exchange instead of cancel the whole thing.

Thanks for the input.

I tried out the Samsung Eternity. Its not a bad phone, but after using it. I wanted something with a bit more functionality. I mentioned the 3G Iphone to the rep who was processing my return. He spent the next 10 minutes telling me why he disliked the Iphone. Needless to say I will be going back to get my contract fixed, but that will be it.
